Join us as Mr. Sciarra takes us through a review of how thermal bridging concepts are implemented into the ASHRAE 90.1 standard. The presentation will explore how to calculate the quantity and type of thermal bridging to show compliance, and strategies to minimize these bridges.

Presenter Bio:
Leonard Sciarra is an Illinois licensed architect, and Principal and Sustainability & Technical Director at FARR Associates.
He is a recognized expert in integrating sustainable design principals into architectural practice, a LEED fellow and CPHC (certified passive house consultant). Len is an advocate for environmental thinking and energy efficiency as a necessary part of good design.
A strategic problem-solver, Len brings over 30 years’ experience to his sustainability projects. His career includes many examples of green design leadership and advocacy, including chair of the AIA Committee on the Environment, as a key player in the passage of benchmarking and green building ordinances in Chicago and Evanston, development of the AIA 2030 commitment, and chair of the ASHRAE 90.1 Envelope Subcommittee.
