The conference is being held in Toronto, but will cover issues relevant to cities across North America. Specifically, BUILD Ideas will address the challenge of retrofitting and building enough durable, energy-efficient buildings to meet projected needs. We have a full agenda of exceptional speakers, each of whom will present a short, focused talk followed by discussion with the audience. John Straube, Ted Kesik, and Mark Gorgolewski will facilitate discussion and add their own perspectives throughout the day. Key themes include how to measure performance and what the future holds for architectural education and practice. More details are available at www.build-ideas.com.
Webcast participants will be able to share their questions and comments via an online moderator. Webcast participants will also have access to presentation recordings for a limited time after the event, and can earn 5.5 AIA credits.
The conference organizers are happy to offer BEC members a 25% discount on the webcast registration cost. Please contact live@buildingsciencelabs.com for discount information.
